This report summarizes the results of preliminary interviews designed to rank the top federal data most requested by nine regions and the top coastal and ocean management issues supported by the data.

Interviews represented include regional ocean partnership contacts, regional association contacts for integrated ocean observing systems (IOOS), and existing regional data leads. The report will be followed by a second phase that will refine these data needs and further our understanding of regional technical challenges, capacity to host and maintain regional data sharing efforts, and budgetary constraints.
