Unlocking the Secrets of the Deepest Diving Whales
Follow along in this creative use of Esri Storymaps as scientists from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, University of North Carolina Wilmington, Duke University, and Marine Conservation Research study the sounds and behaviors of the beaked and sperm whales. Off the coast of North and South Carolina between January and May, 2019, they are conducting acoustic surveys and attaching tags to better understand how these animals behave.
