Underwater Cable Survey Planned for Maine Project

This fall workers will begin to survey the area between Monhegan Island and Port Clyde, Maine to prepare for an underwater electricity cable for the Maine Aqua Ventus project. The project will consist of two floating wind turbines in a state designated area three miles southwest of Monhegan and is led by the University of Maine. This project will be the nation’s first floating offshore wind farm.
