Seafloor Survey of Pacific Northwest Done for Potential Offshore Projects

Researchers at Oregon State University released a study on sediment and animals on the ocean floor in the Pacific Northwest that could aid future renewable energy projects. The study found that relationships between the sediment and animal life was consistent across several sample sites along the coast. It will allow companies to reduce collections of organisms on potential development sites and do more physical surveys instead.
