Research into the Effects of Offshore Wind Farm Construction on the Environment
As the first U.S. offshore wind energy turbines go into the water, it gives environmental compliance organizations a chance to research the effects of the construction firsthand. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management is working with other federal and state agencies to research these potential impacts. Without these real-life observations, impacts are based on conservative educated guesses. This opportunity will provide assistance to future offshore wind planning.
