Oregon Gets Behind Offshore Wind
The Oregon Governor created the WindFloat Pacific Offshore Wind Advisory Committee to identify smart solutions for Oregon’s economy through the offshore wind energy industry. This committee will support the 30 megawatt WindFloat Pacific offshore wind demonstration project and is currently tasked with finding paths to get the project started. The WindFloat Pacific Offshore Wind project has received Department of Energy funding and has plans for up to five floating turbines 16 miles off Coos Bay, Oregon.
