New York Announces Nearly $1.3 million to Collect Data for Responsible Offshore Wind Development

Ocean planners know the importance of data, and managers in New York are turning that into action. The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority announced that nearly $1.3 million is available to support data collection within the New York Bight Wind Energy Area. This is all to facilitate the responsible development of offshore wind by improving marine environmental understanding, reducing environmental risks, and helping to inform planning for future development.
