Massachusetts Looks to Harness the Ocean’s Winds with British Help

The Massachusetts legislature is considering bills that would commit the state to 100% renewable energy within 25 years. To achieve this, the state will need lots more solar panels and wind turbines, including offshore wind turbines. The federal government estimates that the coastal waters off New Bedford, Massachusetts are among the windiest in the nation. While the U.S. has only dipped its toe into the offshore wind waters, the British are somewhat of experts, and are willing to lend their help to get Massachusetts on their way.
