Local Charter Company Helps Block Island Wind Farm
Atlantic Wind Charters recently started on a 20 year deal to help services the Block Island Wind Farm. The 30 megawatt wind farm off the coast of Rhode Island is currently under construction and the charter company will help get workers to and from the wind farm. The brand new vessel commissioned for this purpose will be able to take crew and equipment directly to the bottom of a turbine.
