Report: Estimated Contribution to Employment and Economic Development from Vineyard Wind Project
The Public Policy Center at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth recently conducted analyses to determine the economic contributions that the proposed 400- and 800-megawatt Vineyard Wind Offshore Wind Energy Projects can be expected to have on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the economy of southeastern Massachusetts. The analysis was designed to serve as a conservative and credible estimate for both sizes of wind farm. For the 400 megawatt wind farm, the project would add between 1,500-1,800 jobs. The 800 megawatt wind farm would add between 2,600-3,200 jobs.
