East Coast States Moving Ahead with Offshore Wind Commitments
Nine states have pledged to continue to meet climate goals set under the Paris agreement and for many, that means offshore wind. New York, Rhode Island, Virginia, have all take the pledge with Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Maryland continuing to advance offshore wind plans for their states. States along the eastern coast of the U.S. have a unique geographic advantage: North Atlantic waters receive the strongest winds on the East Coast. States are working hard to development infrastructure that will decrease current barriers to completing offshore wind projects.
