Three Developers Expected to Bid for Massachusetts First Offshore Wind Farm

Massachusetts has pledged to get more energy from renewable sources and has tasked utilities to buy 1,600 megawatts of energy generated in waters off the coast. Three development companies are expected to bid to be the first to build offshore wind in Massachusetts waters. The winners will be announced next summer with steel in the water to come in the next year or two.
