Deepwater Wind Wants to Replace Massachusetts Old Fossil Fuel Plants with Renewable

Massachusetts is retiring fossil fuel plants across the region and Deepwater Wind proposes to replace them with utility-scale renewable energy projects. The projects would include the Revolution Wind farm paired with a first-of-its-kind offshore transmission backbone developed with National Grid. Also, in a partnership with FirstLight Power, the wind farm would be able to offer power during peak times using its Northfield Mountain hydroelectric pumped storage.
